Hamburg, February 26, 2018.
Colt DCS, leading provider of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced that it has finished expanding its existing data centre in Hamburg, Germany.
With the new hall IDC3, the total area of the Colt DCS data center in operation now amounts to more than 3,000 square meters. With this expansion, the provider is responding to the high demand for colocation services in the region, especially among medium-sized companies, which already benefit from the services provided by Colt DCS in sizeable numbers.
The expanded data centre offers customers the quality, service and security that Colt DCS is known for. It is certified with regards to sustainability and information security and, like all Colt data centres, follows Colt DCS's well-proven standard design, allowing the new data centre area to be completed in just four months.
The new IDC3 hall benefits from a scalable power supply system. In addition, the Hamburg location has disaster recovery facilities as well as customer and meeting rooms.
"Hamburg has become a very important site for us. The new investment is a logical response to the high demand for our services. This gives our customers planning security and the highest possible flexibility for their growth, strengthening their economic standing in the region.“
