Environment is everything

Creating a workplace where everyone can flourish, feel comfortable, and strive for success is critical for us as a organisation. Enabling and encouraging our employees to connect and engage with each other on topics that matter to them drives us and gives us our foundation for success. Fostering an environment that allows everybody’s experience and knowledge to come together to create a space where people thrive enables us to come up with tangible, creative solutions for our customers. 

A diverse & inclusive workforce

For an organisation to promote an innovation culture it needs to promote diversity of thought aswell as an inclusive culture. Opening greater talent pools, encouraging higher levels of engagement and creativity, and creating an environment where employees are excited to work creates a renewed purpose and customer focus. Empowered employees bring out the best in themselves and create positive customer experiences, establishing strong relationships for the future.

We foster a number of internal networks for our teams to create systems of support and encouragement:

  • Network 25

    Colt's women's network exists to promote diversity and gender balance at Colt and engage with all employees to enable Colt's women to thrive.

  • Pride Matters

    Colt's LGBT+ and Allies network aims to create a safe space for all LGBT+ employees and allies, raise awareness of issues that impact LGBT+ employees and encourage diversity and inclusion within our workplace.

  • YOUnited

    YOUnited promotes cross cultural understanding and an environment where anyone can flourish regardless of their race, ethnicity, faith or cultural background.

  • Disability Access Network (DAN)

    DAN is an employee network at Colt and was established with the aim to raise awareness of visible and invisible disabilities and health conditions, embrace people's differences and champion inclusion across Colt.

    Our programme for people managers designed to drive inclusive leadership behaviours

  • Mental Health First Aiders

    We have 60 MFHAs across Colt globally who have been trained to be the first response for colleagues who need a listening ear or signposting to further support

  • Leonard Cheshire

    Working with this UK charity, we have hosted students and graduates with disabilities or long-term conditions to give them a positive first experience of the world of work
